The Red Bull Air Race Budapest race course is above the
River Danube, in front of the Hungarian Parliament between the Chain Bridge and
Margaret Bridge. There are twelve gates to cross, start and finish line are
under the Chain Bridge. |

Frank
Versteegh didn't start in the second race of the day,
because of technical problems. Frank loaned an Extra 300L, G-KAYH, because his
own Extra had technical problems. |

Mike
Mangold is the winner of the Red Bull Air Race in
Budapest, he was the only one of ten pilots without any penalty seconds.

Mangold is now the leader in the Red Bull World Series 2005, with two
points more than number two Peter
Besenyei, with one race to

1,2 million spectators seen
Peter
Besenyei flying to the fourth place of the
day. The Hungarian had violated the speed limit at the start line below
the Chain Bridge in such an egregious fashion that he landed two penalty
seconds.
